Yes, you can get this permit at the Water Department at 1938 S. Hampton Road. The fee is $5.00. Glenn Heights City Ordinance 715-01 allows two (2) garage sales per year, which may be held for a maximum of four (4) consecutive days Thursday through Sunday. Permits shall be obtained before the commencement of the sale. Permits obtained after the commencement of the shall be double the fee amount.

Garage Sale Signs indicating the address, date and time of the sale be placed out on the day prior to the sale, and shall be removed within 24 hours after the sale has concluded. The permit holder may place one (1) sign on the property where the sale is located, and four (4) additional signs off-premises. Signs shall not be placed in the public right of way, on utility poles, trees, official signs, or within thirty (30) of an intersection (the sight visibility triangle). Signs shall be less than three (3) feet in height, and no longer than (6) six feet in height, and no longer than six (6) square feet in area.
