MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING
OF THE CITY OF GLENN HEIGHTS, TEXAS
September 27, 2008

CITY OF GLENN HEIGHTS *
On this the 27th day of September 2008 the City Council of the City of Glenn Heights met in a special meeting at the Glenn Heights City Hall in Glenn Heights, Texas located at 1938 S. Hampton Road with the following members present:
CITY COUNCIL:
Clark Choate * Mayor
Dan Freeman * Council Member
Kathy Dixon * Mayor Pro Tem
Chance Harvey * Council Member
Mary Ann Chancellor * Council Member
STAFF: Jacqueline Lee * Director of Human Resources
ABSENT: Malinda Holley * Council Member Victor Pereira * Council Member
Mayor Choate called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m.
INVOCATION: Councilwoman Chancellor gave the invocation.
1. EXECUTIVE SESSION
CLOSED MEETING PURSUANT TO CHAPTER §551. TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE V.T.C.S. (OPEN MEETINGS LAW), IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE AUTHORITY CONTAINED IN SECTION §551.071 LEGAL, SECTION §551.072 REAL ESTATE AND SECTION §551.074 PERSONNEL.
Pursuant to Sec. §551.074, Government Code, regarding Personnel to interview applicants for employment as City Manager.
Councilwoman Chancellor moved to go into closed meeting pursuant to Section 551.074, Personnel. Councilman Freeman made the second. The motion carried with the following vote:
VOTE: 5 Ayes - Freeman, Dixon, Choate, Chancellor, and Harvey
The City Council convened into Closed Session at 10:35 a.m.
Councilman Pereira arrived at 11:45 a.m.
Councilman Pereira moved to come out of Closed Session. Councilman Freeman made the second. The motion carried with the following vote:
VOTE: 6 Ayes - Freeman, Dixon, Choate, Chancellor, Harvey, and Pereira
Mayor Choate called the meeting back to order at 7:35 p.m.
2. Consider any Official Action as a result of the Executive Session.
No Action was taken.
3. ADJOURNMENT.
Mayor Choate adjourned the meeting at 7:35 p.m.
