The Glenn Heights Municipal Court offers
scheduled court sessions. You must be scheduled on that specific
docket and date in order
to be seen. Your court date should be listed towards the bottom
of your citation. This is an initial appearance date before the
Judge where you enter your plea. You may enter a plea of not
guilty - Plea
of Not Guilty-mail in form - in person or via mail
with the clerk’s office and a pretrial court date will
be set. You will be able to meet with the city prosecutor to
discuss
the
circumstances of your case at that time. |
| |
| Reschedules will NOT be granted on the same day that you are
scheduled for court. If you do not appear then a warrant and a
failure to appear charge will be issued. |
| |
Failure to appear or answer on the citation
before or on your appearance date may result in a warrant for
your arrest being issued.
A $50 fee is incurred on each offense when a warrant is issued
and an additional charge for failure to appear will be issued.
Although not required by law, the court may notify you by mail
when a warrant for your arrest has been issued. When issued an
arrest warrant for Class C misdemeanor offenses, the relevant
information is added to the State’s criminal database. The City of Glenn
Heights participates in the OMNIBASE program for denial of your
drivers’ license until your outstanding cases are resolved
with the court. |
