MUNICIPAL COURT OF RECORD
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Rules
You are responsible for:
  1. Location community service within the designated time. Due to limited availability it may be necessary for you to perform service outside of the Glenn Heights area.
  2. Completing community service with a non-profit organization that provides services to the general public that enhance social welfare and general well being of the community.
  3. Obtaining the supervisor’s initials each time you check in and out from working;
  4. Recording all the hours you work;
  5. Submitting the Glenn Height’s timesheet to the Court. (Click to view/print FORM This is the only acceptable form.)
  6. Following rules while performing community service.
  • Not deliberately destroy or deface any tools or property;
  • Never accept any tips or cash from anyone in association with my community service
  • Arrive on time;
  • Obey the site supervisor;
  • Wear appropriate clothing to work;
  • Not leave the worksite without permission;
    • Not carry any sort of weapon;
  • Not use abusive language.
The Supervisor is NOT required to keep a record of your time, YOU are. You may bring the timesheet in periodically to the Clerk while working your community service so that the Clerk may copy it and place in your file for safekeeping until remainder of hours are completed.
EXTENSIONS WILL NOT BE GIVEN FOR ANY REASON.
FAILURE TO COMPLETE your court ordered community service and returning your timesheet before or on your due date WILL RESULT IN EITHER A WARRANT BEING ISSUED FOR YOUR ARREST, ADDITIONAL FEES, SUSPENSION OR DENIAL OF YOUR DRIVER’S LICENSE.

Non-profit organizations provide a service to the general public that enhance the social welfare and general well being within the community.
 
Examples are: schools, churches, nursing homes, charity organizations, and some government entities
